Sticky Posts on *Your* Reading List

Area:
Reading list

Summary:
Reader-defined posts to "Sticky" at the top of the reading list, to get back to them without forgetting them.

Description:
So there's this great post, and you need to think on it for a day before replying... But in a day, it's off the bottom and you forget. Or this long post you want to follow, but you don't want to see all the notifications for comments to it because your inbox will explode. Sure, you can put it in a tag, but your browser might crash twice and lose it.

But you don't really want it in your Memories -- it's not going to be important enough for that. Further, you tend to forget things which aren't right in front of you. (*beth coughs and looks innocent*)

So you click a button and it's sticky <I>for you</I>, on your reading page! Now you can see that you need to send someone a wedding gift, or you can reload and see how many new posts are on that interesting entry, or whatever, because it's right in front of you!

Downside: sticky too many posts and it'll take a while to scroll past them...

Downside: unknown technical difficulties in implementing.

Downside: people reading your reading list will see your stickyposts?

Watch a group of tags

Area:
tags

Summary:
To be able to watch a group of tags on a journal instead of only the entries under the specific tag.

Description:
There is the awesome function of being able to group tags by typing a :. For example: someone writing reviews for different shows might tag them 'review: show1' and review: show2' and so on.

My suggestion is that it should be possible to view all the entries under the group of tags named 'review' in this example in a simple way. A way of doing this is to create a page under '*/tag/review' where these entries are showed and in the list view of tags the group tag could be made into a hotlink to that page.

Cons: Could get confusing if the user already has a separate tag for only 'review'. A way to avert that could be to put some extra sign after the url, maybe '*/tag/review:', but I don't know enough to know what kind of signs you can use there without creating troubles.

Title:
Unsubscribe from multiple notifications

Area:
Manage Inbox

Summary:
Allow a user to delete multiple discussion tracking notifications at one time.

Description:
It's very easy when there's a wide ranging, very interesting conversation to subscribe to many, many entries or comment threads simultaneously. However, once the conversation dies down, deleting the subscriptions is a real pain, because it has to be done for each subscription individually.

This is sort of a pain for free users, who will run up against their subscription limit fairly quickly, as well as a pain for paid users, because once they have reached their subscription limit, they'll have hundreds of subscriptions they would like to delete, and have to act on them one by one.

I'm not sure how this should be implemented, although we might consider getting rid of the option to unsubscribe from a subscription while having it stay saved. I'm not sure I understand the point of that anyway. In any case, the biggest drawback to this proposal is implementing it in a way that makes usability sense.
