As one can summarize a journal entry by putting part of it outside of a cut tag, so with polls. Add an attribute to polls and questions to be able to display the poll summary first, and mark certain questions as visible in summary. The summary of the poll would then be displayable in the journal with a submission button, and the poll respondent could choose to continue with the rest of the poll or not.
Description:
Polls can get long and awkward, and sometimes you're asking a ton of questions but what you really want is answers to the first two; the rest are icing.
This idea would solve both the problem of "I really want as many people as possible to answer these crucial questions of this poll" and the problem of "My poll is too long but I'd like people to see the first few questions".
This could be abused by someone showing questions that are not objectionable as summary questions, and having questions in the rest of the poll that make the unobjectionable-by-themselves questions objectionable in context.
This might be of extremely limited interest.
Better ideas to address the same general need are welcomed in comments.
