Instant Feedback Button

Title:
Instant Feedback Button

Area:
Posts

Summary:
Similar to the Facebook 'like' button, have a 'favorite' button, kudos, etc. Some sort of button, where if a person likes an entry but doesn't want to comment, they can leave some sort of feedback.

Description:
As somewhat of an author, it's frustrating when one doesn't get reviews. I may not get reviews but I do see when people favorite one of my stories on another site. That site keeps track of how many have favorite your work. Since many authors might be coming here, I think having some kind of like/favorite/kudos button would be great. Fanfiction.net and DeviantArt.com have similar options.

Oh no - I wasn't under the impression the poll was god. It's just that you have actually asked what we think, inviting us to say "Yes I like that/no I don't/I think..." whereas a lot of places, no-one even asks. That was my point - we're being invited to give an opinion.

The "But so-and-so has it" annoys me because half the time, I'm not even on such-and-such site. So when people go "Well you can't protest this because you put up with it on Facebook!" about something - well, no... I don't put up with it on Facebook, that's sort of why I'm not on Facebook.

(I haven't voted here because my opinion is "Hate it, don't want it, but no-one is going to hold a wombat to my head and make me use it, so... other people can do whatever the hell they want." and I wasn't sure where that would go!)

*g* That would be what the "I have no opinion" and "Other: please comment" tickyboxen were intended for!

*ticks the tickyboxen*

Other, in this case - because I do have an opinion, I just don't think my hating it outweighs other people's right to have it if the Big Bosses decide to implement it, you know? Though I would vastly prefer it if it was something that could be disabled by journal-owners.
