Similar to the Facebook 'like' button, have a 'favorite' button, kudos, etc. Some sort of button, where if a person likes an entry but doesn't want to comment, they can leave some sort of feedback.

Description:
As somewhat of an author, it's frustrating when one doesn't get reviews. I may not get reviews but I do see when people favorite one of my stories on another site. That site keeps track of how many have favorite your work. Since many authors might be coming here, I think having some kind of like/favorite/kudos button would be great. Fanfiction.net and DeviantArt.com have similar options.

I know... A lot of the time someone writes about something they did, or saw, that made me smile or go "wow" but I feel stupid writing "Cool!" or whatever, or I don't have time, because I'm going through 90 entries on my break.

Instant feedback would really help.

If I had such a button that said 'i agree' 'plus 1' 'this' kudos, props, like, fave, I'd add it to this comment.

Looking at my word list, if this does become a feature, maybe one can customize the word like they do in the other style fields? One journal/comm may have like where as another will have 'i agree' or something.

Actually, a built in "+1" feature for comments is something I'd especially like. Not because I would use it, but because when subscribed to a comm or post like this, you sometimes get individual comments with billions of "+1" or "IAWTC" replies, and I find them repetetive in the extreme--especially in reply to me.

Some way of registering people agree with a comment without requiring they fill my inbox with excess comments would work for me.

as one guilty of replying with things such as +1, IA, THIS, iawtc, seconded, etc' especially on kink memes and debates, I agree with your comment.

Even if it's a picture of a heart, someone clicks it and it says 3 hearts for this post or something works for me.

I think +1 comments have their use, but I agree that they get in the way of reading the rest of the discussion, and they are a bit of a chore to wade through. Even if they all generated a notification, it could be a separate subscription, and should be able to be sorted on in the inbox, and be distinct enough to be sorted on in something like Gmail.
