This would add one extra field in the "Other Services" section. The only drawback I can see is that it is the lesser known service. But, while Twitter may have the lions share of the market, I think Identi.ca is more in line with Dreamwidth's Open Source spirit.

Well, ok, the other drawback would be the developer hours in putting code in; But other than that...

There's already a plan to make the 'other services' user extensible, as opposed to having to hard code each new wave of social media by a developer. I'd rather wait on the more permanent solution.
