I can never remember the URL of the suggestions generator, so whenever I want to make a suggestion, I wind up going to the suggestions community to find it. It's a niggling roundabout way to have to make a suggestion, and I'd like a more convenient method. Create seems to me like the most logical place to put it, although maybe just the site map would work.

It's a good point that it should be linked from somewhere. I'm not totally convinced that the Create menu is the best place for it, but I can't think of anywhere better off the top of my head.

Also, where is the site map? I've heard people mention it but I'm not sure I've ever actually seen it.

And yes, the site map should definitely have a link to the suggestions generator.

Hrm ... what about a new "Contribute" menu? It could link directly to the Support board, the suggestions generator, perhaps the wiki page on getting involved in development ... ?

Yeah, I would never look for it in "create", but I'd love to see it - maybe under "explore", where the FAQ and stuff already is. And I like the idea of a 'contribute' menu with all that stuff, but messing with basic site nav is *really easy* to screw up once you start, so I'm hesitant to start.

Though they really do need to get better at making it easier to find & use a lot of the new DW features.

No new menu, please. The tidiness and simplicity of DW is one of the reasons I love it. However, a 'Contribute' link in Create and/or the footer would be nice.

In my browser and monitor resolutin there wouldn't be even room for any more menus besides the five already there and the search box.

I think putting it on the site map makes sense, because IMO that should be fairly complete and allow you to find everything. I'm not really fond to have the suggestion generator in the create menu. I mean it is not something you use that often. Well, most users don't anyway.

I agree. I've flagged the post with a link to it in my inbox so that I can find it again. Now I know where the site map is, that would be a better place for it.

I'm not really sure it should be there, but if it's hard to find, def it should be placed in a more obvious location.

Site map = yes, but the Create menu doesn't really seem like the right place. I can't come up with my own ideas or pick between other suggested locations on the menu, though.

This. All Important Stuff should go in the site menu, but please no, don't add the suggestions generator to Create menu.

I've heard it mentioned before that there should be a user-created menu that lets users specify their own links that are important to them. I like that a lot better--that way, since you use this a lot, you could put it on your personal menu.

That sounds like a much better solution, actually - put suggestions on the site map, then let people add their own menu if they want, without cluttering up the main menu for the average user.
