Every time I decide to add a feed to my reading list I seem to fumble around a lot before I can remember how it is done. My intuitive response has always been:
1. Click on "Manage circle". From there I can add people/communities, and I can also modify my relationships to them. I can also unsubscribe from feeds, but I cannot add them. That seems incongruous.
2. Go to the home page and click on the "organize" tab, where all the other "manage" options reside.
For me "read->feeds" would probably mean the page where I get to read the feeds I subscribe to.

Thus my suggestion is to add the option for adding feeds to the manage circle page. Alternatively, add a separate "manage feeds" entry on the organize tab.

I'd rather just see a link to the page to add feeds be put on the manage circle page. My reasons for this are twofold:

1. The manage circle page is already pretty big an complex, and doesn't need extra complexity adding to it.
2. Having the same functionality in two places invites all sorts of problems when it comes to development, support, documentation, etc.

Yes, that makes sense. The current location is not easy to find, but putting a link to it on the obvious place should overcome that.

I am confused. At the bottom of http://www.dreamwidth.org/manage/circle/edit there is an "Add relationship" thing - does that not work for feed accounts? If it doesn't, it really, really should.

I now tried it and it worked for me, so I am not sure what is being asked here.

That lets you do stuff with a feed account, if you know it exists. If feedreading is to be part of the core competence of DW (and I think it ought to be, personally) then the page where you manage what you're reading should allow you, easily, to add off site content, even if you don't know what the feed account is called. I'm assuming that's what's been asked and have responded accordingly.

Ah, now I get it. Creating a feed account, not adding an existing one.

It could be both, actually. The page for creating a feed account will also redirect you to the existing one if one exists for the given URL.
