Add a Delicious user tag
Title:
Add a Delicious user tag
Area:
site-specific user tags
Summary:
Add a user tag for delicious.com.
Description:
I would love if it was possible to link to people's Delicious accounts in the same way you can link to their LJs or Twitters, i.e. by using user name=turloughishere site=delicious.com to link to http://www.delicious.com/turloughishere
I don't know how popular Delicious is outside of fandom but in many fanfic fandoms it's invaluable and linking to Delicious accounts is something you do very often.

(For people who don't know, Delicious users were supposed to opt into the transfer for whatever future plans AVOS* has up their sleeves before July, as they were planning on doing the migration in July sometime. It's August, and as far as I can tell, the migration hasn't happened yet? But I'm not sure the website'll still be called "Delicious" when all is said and done.)
* I cannot for the life of me stop typoing AVOS as AVOX. I blame Suzanne Collins.

I'd dig a Diigo linky-thing, though these days I'm more on the, what's it, Trunk.ly?

Is Diigo really an alternative? Most people I know of never uses their accounts there, they're just cyper squatting in case the worst happens to Delicious.

Given that it's a minor tweak in the codebase to implement the suggestion (one line of code I believe), I don't think waiting until something happens their end that may never actually happen is worth it myself.
I think it's good
I have a Del account, but I stopped using the week I heard about Yahoo deciding to ditch it, and switched to Diigo. I only use my Diigo account now because I want to avoid any possible troubles that might go along with the transition, but I'm still open minded about what kind of service AVOS will provide in the future, but to be honest, I only want to have to deal with one reliable bookmarking service at a time instead of going back and forth.
