I don't feel particularly strongly about supporting the Dublin Core standard, but if we do do so, we should investigate the most commonly used elements of the standard in RSS, and support that range, instead of picking out a single element of the whole thing.

I... have no idea what you're talking about with "dublin core", and if there was supposed to be some "author" identifier on the entries in your example link, my default RSS reader doesn't support showing it.

So, um, while I support the idea of something to identify authors, I'd prefer to use something that doesn't require a standard not everyone supports, or at least *also* use that. Preferably something visible in plain-html. I would guess that's also better accessibility-wise, too.

Oh! No, I didn't realize that. In that case, I am def. in favor of DW supporting as many standards as possible when it displays syndicated accounts!

(It would also be nice to put an identifier of who created the post in community feeds, actually, since my RSS reader can't tell atm.)

Can you explain to me why most RSS readers don't display Dublin Core metadata, if it's the most popular? Is it really new or something?

Gotcha, thanks, that was the piece I was missing.
