Memories of journals and communities
Title:
Memories of journals and communities
Area:
memories
Summary:
I'd like to be able to add journals and communities (and maybe tags) to my memories, as well as individual posts.
Description:
A lot of times, I find a journal or a community or a tag on a journal or community that I'd like to remember, but I don't want to watch it or get notifications for it, I just want to be reminded to check up on it or catch up on it every once in a while. (Either because I'm not sure if I want to subscribe yet, or it's too spammy to have on my reading list, or I prefer to read in large chunks rather than update by update.)
I'd like to have a button I can click (like the 'memory' button on posts) that will let me add entire journals, communities, or tags on journals or communities. The best way to do this, I think, would be as part of the memory system overhaul. But something along the lines of the "interesting libraries" list on LibraryThing - that just gives you a separate list of users you find vaguely interesting - would also work, if allowing pages other than entry pages into memories would be too complicated.

You can also use external bookmarks and link lists, but I'd prefer something built into the site, like memories is.

I use notifications for this, both on LJ and here. (I love notifications so much! :-)
