dw_dev_training is a good place to start, or dw_volunteers. In particular, putting yourself out in dw_volunteers or dw_dev as available to do frontend work -- design, mockups, making things pretty -- would be immensely appreciated, since it's something a lot of our heavy backend programmers (claim that they) suck at!
