When I mouse over an entry's icon, the icon shown with the displayed information is elongated into a rectangle, distorting the image. Fix it so it's square.

I don't think this used to happen. Possibly it doesn't happen with all styles or browsers, but it does for me with Transmogrified, IE8.

I looked through the entries here tagged "icons", but I couldn't find anything about this. I apologize if it's already been mentioned elsewhere.

It does seem to be only IE8/Transmogrified.

It looks like it's setting the width correctly but not the height, so the icon ends up 50x100 pixels instead of 50x50 pixels.

Why IE would do that, I do not know. It's IE and has a mind of its own.

I've got those hover things turned off, but I'd hazard a guess that only the width of the image is specified. In most browsers that's enough for it to scale properly, but IE has issues with that. If the height and width were specified it would probably fix it. But I could be talking out my rear end here.

Oh, so that's what the OP meant by "elongated". Holy guacamole, Batman.

(I use Transmogrified, but I don't use IE8 - it's not even installed on my laptop, due to a Windows Update snafu of some sort, so I had no idea until I saw the cap).
