Personally, I've never quite understood why the posting access is hidden (though I'm glad it is, but only on a space-saving level where I don't actually care about that information for other people and am glad I don't have to scroll past it when I view their profiles).

I mean, you can only get posting access by being a member, right? And membership is publicly available on the profile anyway. So hiding posting access doesn't really hide anything. Unless I'm wrong here somehow?
