The suggestions post

Soon (for certain values of 'soon'), there will be a "suggestions generator", where you fill out forms and it will post an entry to this community for you, for discussion and the like.

Until then, if you've got something you'd like to suggest for Dreamwidth, you can leave it as a comment here! You can review our development roadmap explanation first, since it includes a lot of our upcoming big projects.

The Suggestions Generator is now live! Please fill out that form instead.

IIRC they're not going to allow you to hide you access list because they think before you comment on the locked post of someone who gives you access, you should be able to have an idea of who can potentially comment (potentially=not sure exactly, because some of the people on the access list may be filtered out).

However, I think this could be partially improved by allowing people to hide their access list from everyone BUT those on their access list, as the above situation only occurs when you have granted someone access. Someone who is not granted access then has no reason to see an access list.

yeah, it would be cool if I could, for example, hide the members of a closed community -- I would like to use DW as a collaborative platform for volunteers of the project I manage, but not everybody may be comfortable with being known as a volunteer to the outside world, so I would love to be able to offer them anonymity. At the moment, I can't do that. I can see how this is not desired behaviour, since it is a highly speacialised application, but I thought I'd bring it up :)

Tumblr actually has something like that, an ability to create a secret community that has no outside presence.

Hey, thanks. Unfortunately, tumblr has no useful 'about' page, so I can't see what kind of other functionality it has to offer, if any x_x I don't like having to sign up for smth to see what it does, sigh.
