There should be a link to the mobile site from the main one

Title:
There should be a link to the mobile site from the main one

Area:
www.dreamwidth.org/mobile

Summary:
People using mobile browsers (whether restrictive ones, or fully capable ones on small screens) have the option to use the "mobile" version of the site. But, they have no way to know this. Provide a link.

Description:
I recently discovered www.dreamwidth.org/mobile via a support request (thanks firefoxfey!).
It may be that browsers that can't cope with the standard page are automagically sent here (are they? I've no way to test), but many smartphone browsers nowadays can cope technically with the standard page, but suffer layout-wise.

It should be made obvious to the mobile user that they have the option of the /mobile site, but the option to use either should be retained (and possibly remembered?).

Automagic redirection to a DW!mobile site would be tops; more so than a link, IMO, and it's how most sites nowadays handle it (with an option to switch back to "normal mode" should people prefer).

I like this idea, and that's what I'm used to when viewing Web sites on my mobile.

+1 to redirection (assuming that it's accompanied by a functional mobile version of the site)

The option to switch back is key. On about 80% of web sites that do this, the mobile site is so lousy I switch back at once, or wish to. I've stopped using some web sites because they "trapped" me in a mobile interface with functionality so reduced as to be useless.

Yep. Most of them are horrid.

I'd prefer no automatic redirection at all; just a link to the mobile version, as suggested.

I use mobile from my laptop, because it provides the best interface for large print (and at present I don't see a "no styles at all" style choice). A "dumb phone" interface will be maximally accessible for braille terminal users as well.

So that's a loud provide an explicit option as well as automagic redirect, if automagic at all.
