Recognize AO3 Links

Title:
Recognize AO3 Links

Area:
user tags, playing well with others

Summary:
Add archiveofourown.org as a recognized remote site with its own user-icon.

Description:
On my reading list today, I noticed a number of people (starting, I believe, with helens78) discovering that our offsite user link, without tweaking, works with archiveofourown.org's site structure, even though they're not working off the same root open source project.

Since it works already, why not inquire with them and see what small icon they would prefer for linking to their users? (Their favicon, http://archiveofourown.org/favicon.ico , might work if they don't have a preference otherwise.)

with changes: for any site that we don't have an explicitly defined icon set like the ones for LJ & IJ, use the favicon if one is detected.
melannen: Commander Valentine of Alpha Squad Seven, a red-haired female Nick Fury in space, smoking contemplatively (Default)

Oh, this, yes!

Even if it's another site using the lj-style icons, I'd rather have the favicon than be confused into thinking it's an lj link.

The problem with that is that if it's a site DW doesn't define an icon for, they would have to hotlink the favicon in order to use it.

Well, if that's possible, then I'll just go ahead and +1 the idea.

Another potential problem is look-alikes. Not necessarily anyone likely to be using it maliciously, but a good reason to retain a manual over-ride.
cesy: Organisation for Transformative Works logo (OTW)

I'd like to see both this and the original suggestion, since I think the original is quicker and easier to implement in the meantime.

Also, OTW Coders chat seem vaguely in favour of the favicon, though that's not an official decision.
elke_tanzer: completely sharable! (AO3 my icon really)

I like the idea of using the little house favicon. I have already seen people handcoding usernames that way.
