More crossposting options and functionality

Title:
More crossposting options and functionality

Area:
crossposting

Summary:
I'd like for there to be more options to set as defaults, and then choose to uncheck for individual posts when crossposting to alternate journal sites.

Description:
Often when I crosspost I would like more options as to what actually gets posted to my LJ, instead of duplicating the same post as is. There have been suggestions for more posting options linked to filters (http://dw-suggestions.dreamwidth.org/219864.html) or tags (http://dw-suggestions.dreamwidth.org/191433.html), but I would like to be able to alter my crossposting settings for not just comment settings and the crosspost footer text, but also tags and privacy settings.

For example I have made my LJ friends only and still wish to crosspost there, but my Dw is public. I would like to be able to have crossposting adhere to my LJ privacy settings, and the option to turn off this setting if I wish for a post to be public on LJ as well (which I will occasionally). I also do not wish to maintain many tags on my LJ, just a few important ones, and would like the choice of not crossposting tags, again unless I uncheck this option for a certain post.

Certainly along with these settings, comments on/off and a selection for crosspost footer could be options to set as defaults, and then change when actually posting if required.

I'd also like the ability to add a tag at the far end that's not in use on my DW account. I'm not likely to use it often, but it would be nice.

What is the point of f-locking everything on LJ when the same is completely public on DW? I can understand needing different kinds of filters to pick for an xpost, like say your LJ you have a filter for "everyone but Uncle Bert" whom you have friended there out of politeness to maintain quiet at the next family meetup, but a plain access list lock is sufficient on DW, as Uncle Bert has no account here or something like that, but locking a post that is completely unlocked elsewhere?

This seems like it could get way complicated, way fast. I like being able to click one little checkbox and have stuff go over without worrying about visual clutter all over the place. (The only visual clutter I want to add is having a duplicate of the user icon selection down near the bottom so I can fix it there as well. But I've been mildly peeved ever since LJ moved the user icon selector to the top.)

I've got the exact same request; because of the recent trouble with Facebook and privacy over on LJ I don't want my journal there to be open any more. I do however want to continue to post unlocked over at DW.
