Make icons link in sitescheme

Title:
Make icons link in sitescheme

Area:
sitescheme, site style, icons

Summary:
Add /icons link on an icon to site style.

Description:
In certain styles, a user's icon links back to their allpics page. I find this really useful, if I see a cool icon and want to see who made it and if it's stealable or not. Can this feature be added to sitescheme as well as the other styles, please?

I said no because it's totally unclear which instance you're talking about. I don't want the icon associated with this comment to go to allpics, for example; if anywhere, I want it just to go to my journal.

Someone pointed out elsewhere (probably in LJ suggestions) that making the icon clickable for the journal itself improves accessibility. Making it instead go to allpics/icons seems suboptimal to me, but again, that's just me.

It gives you a bigger target to click. Especially when someone's username is short, having something bigger than 12px is nice for those with fine motor control problems.

Honestly, I don't really like the allpics page being public to begin with -- of course people can take my icons for their own use anytime I use them to post anywhere, but the allpics page makes it more convenient for someone to come by and grab a bunch of them without finding out my feelings on the subject, whether I have any rules I ask people using my icons to abide by, or whether some of those icons might have special personal significance/have been made for me by a friend and are not icons I want to share. It makes me uncomfortable to think of that behavior becoming even easier and extra convenient.

I actually like the comments on the allpics page since it lets me communicate my preferences. Of course, people may ignore those anyway.

I guess it depends on one's social circle, but where I hang out -- mostly among the journal roleplay crowd -- "Please don't take this icon" on the allpics page is often regarded as an invitation to take the icon because clearly you're 'stuck-up' for not wanting to share it with the world. Of course this behavior is already possible on DW, but I'd hate to see it made even easier. (Maybe the real solution here is actually customizable privacy on one's /icons page...)
