add link to personal & light styles from site scheme

Title:
add link to personal & light styles from site scheme

Area:
styles, headers, navigation bar, user interface

Summary:
I am not a huge fan of the site schemes, and would rather see posts in my personal (very green) style. I wish it was easier.

Description:
Right now, I can't find any way to switch from a site-schemed post to style=mine or style=light without typing that in the location field of my browser.

I realize that you don't want to clutter up the site scheme header, but by adding just one or two links, you make make it easy to not see it. So those of us who prefer other styles and even the navigation bar will be happy campers.

I don't understand how this differs from Display modified navigation bar on siteschemed entry pages, except that you would not be adding the relationship between the logged in user and the journal being viewed. If there is some other difference, please clarify?

Yes, this suggestion would be useful, but the navbar would be even better.

The links are already present in the navigation bar, so it would actually be coherent for them to be present in site-schemed pages (provided that they are pages which can switch).

I think there would be enough room next to the "Invite Someone" and "Help" links - at least on the Tropospherical scheme.

I want a way to permanently see all entry pages except my own in style=light!

I want that too! FireFox + Greasemonkey + DW Linkstyle rewriter is my current solution.

I was going to say yes to this, but what I really want is the one [personal profile] zvi linked to. When I click through to someone else's entry and they're using the site scheme, I keep looking for the navbar to change it to a style where I can distinguish visited links, and it's not there!

Hey -- I just wanted to let you know that this suggestion is tagged as rejected, but only because I think it'll be pretty well covered by a few other bugs we have open to fix up display preferences, so you'll be able to choose "display all comment pages everywhere on the site in my own style" in the display tab and from there, see posts in your own style always, no matter whether there's a URL argument for it or not. I don't know when we'll be getting that implemented, but it shouldn't be all that long, since [personal profile] aveleh nags the developer who has the bug assigned to her at least daily!
