Crossposter: allow crosspost box to be definitevely unchecked when editing entries

Title:
Crossposter: allow crosspost box to be definitevely unchecked when editing entries

Area:
crossposting, entries

Summary:
When you edit a crossposted entry, you can check the crosspost box if you don't want the entry to be edited on the other site. However, if you edit the entry again, the box will be back to being checked and you'll have to uncheck it again. I think it should remember the last state of that box: initially checked, keep checked unless it's changed. Initially unchecked, keep unchecked unless it's changed.

Description:
In my case, I realized too late I didn't want a particular entry to be crossposted so I deleted it on the other site. Now I have to uncheck the crosspost box every time I edit the entry. Otherwise I get a 'crosspost failed' message.

If you prefer the current behavior, what would you say of restricting the suggestion to this particular case (keep unchecked if the entry's deleted on the other site)?

I think that if the entry's crossposted, it should assume any edits should be propagated ("if crossposted, always checked when edit page loads"), but I agree that if a crosspost failed error occurs, it should assume no edits should be propagated to the site to which the crosspost failed.

I think. I mean, it's possible (for a paid account) to simultaneously crosspost to, e.g. [deadjournal.com profile] cheyinka and [deadjournal.com profile] the_omelet, so a "there is no such entry to edit" error should only uncheck the one for which there was an error.

[W]hat would you say of restricting the suggestion to this particular case (keep unchecked if the entry's deleted on the other site)?

That's the solution I'd prefer.

Having it stop on a failure should not happen for a non-delete failure tho. Maybe a tri-state check or two boxes (not this time vs turn it off?).

Would like this solution, I think.
