When I use the envelope icon to email a link to a Dreamwidth entry, it should show in the sent mail in my inbox.

Description:
When I use the envelope icon to email a link to a Dreamwidth entry to someone who doesn't have a Dreamwidth acct, it should show in the sent mail in my inbox. I can't always remember who I've sent what. I looked at the site map, and I can't see anywhere else reasonable to track these. ( I suppose I might be looking right at and not seeing it. If so, please let me know where.)

very much +1 because right now there's no way to keep track of what you might have sent to whom

I don't use the feature, so I could be missing a down side, but it seems like a good idea to me.

My guess is that the only down side would be having to deal with either poking the inbox to log the sharing, or tweak the sharing to use the same engine the regular notification system uses.

That sounds like entirely a development drawback, rather than a user-facing one.

There is a bug filed to completely overhaul the 'share this' feature so it can be used in a variety of different ways easily without being horribly obtrusive, but I don't know if anyone's working on it-I was sorta doing an alternate approach but I've not had time to get done on that recently.
