Manage Circle: mark and set apart users you've banned

Title:
Manage Circle: mark and set apart users you've banned

Area:
circle management

Summary:
In the People section, mark in some way, group together and set apart the users you've banned.

Description:
It would be awesome if it could also display the note you added or at least a link to Ban/Unban.

Edit: it would also be awesome if this section could be collapsible.

Fixing up reading and access filter management is certainly worthwhile, including this feature.

...would this mean that any user you've banned (who is not in your circle) would show on the "manage circle" page under this heading? I wasn't sure if that was what the suggestion meant. Sometimes if I ban someone I really don't want to see their username because it's upsetting to me, and seeing their name on my "manage circle" page would be a downer.

Yeah, agree.

That would be upsetting.

My vote to implement is based on the assumption that this would only be people who are otherwise circle members, just ones who happen to be banned for whatever reason. The ban management page ought still to be separate.

Thanks for the clarification! It being in its own section and collapsible would be fine by me.

Collapsable section = win, I'd say.

I think a collapsible section would be necessary. I would never go so far as to ban people without already having progressed to the point of wishing never to see their names again.

I think that makes sense but would this be visible only to you, or to everyone who viewed your profile? I would prefer it only visible to the person who owned the account, I wouldn't want everyone to see who everyone else had banned. I would only ban people for being really obnoxious, so if you ban people who have added you just because you don't want to add them, then when I look at your profile and see you have banned them, I start to think they must be trolls when really they aren't, and that's bad for their reputation.

Oh, never mind, read it again, manage circle page, so that would only be for the account holder, it wouldn't affect profile showing.

This would be extremely useful for those of us who have had to ban abusive ex-friends and get panic attacks at seeing their name.

I'm not 100% sure which one I called it a duplicate of, but that one does seem like a likely candidate.

I always have a good reason for calling something a dupe when I do the tagging, I just don't always remember it later. :)
