Add subscription filters to the navbar drop-down on reading pages

Title:
Add subscription filters to the navbar drop-down on reading pages

Area:
subscription filters, navigation bar, reading page

Summary:
Include subscription filters in the navbar drop-down on your reading page.

Description:
On the navbar, where it has "Filter: All Subscriptions, Journals Only, Communities Only, Syndicated Feeds" in a drop-down, it might be good to add the filters into that drop-down - that was where I looked for it first when I was trying to figure out how to apply a filter to my reading page.

How do you use your reading filters? I created a filter to try the new stuff, but then couldn't figure out how to read just these with the filter I made, and figured that part just wasn't implemented or something.

Now I vaguely remember that pattern from LJ though there I never use much besides my default view. Also on LJ they are in the toolbar too, iirc.

Oooh, the polls were the first indication I had that filters were at least partially live! *wriggles excitedly*

Yes, this. I knew the URL pattern from LJ so I was able to use it, but this menu was also the first place I looked for it to appear.

The point was raised on the "Create a module for subscription filters" suggestion that it could show people what filters you have and lead to Drama. Is it possible to have an option where the filter list only appears in the dropdown on your own reading page? (so you'd have to be logged in, which makes it less useful, but other people can't see the list)

Well, if they implement the "Public" flag for Reading Filters here, it could/should show when logged out; otherwise I agree with you.
