It should be possible to have two links lists: one for links that will show up on your reading page, and one for links that show up on your recent entries page.

Description:
At the moment, we have one links list each which then gets generated on our reading page and on our recent entries page. This has always struck me as counter-intuitive since the links that I want to show to other people reading my journal are entirely different from the links that would be most useful for me to see on my reading page. It would be nice if we could separate these out into two lists instead.

For people who are happy with the way things work now, there should still be an option to use the same links for both.

As someone who uses their recent entries page as their "central" page and has (will have here on DW :-) a million reading filters I would only want this implemented as an optional choice.

What if the lists just provided a checkmark at the bottom that said, "Just use the other one, I don't want two different lists."?

Great idea. I totally agree. My reading page is for me, while my recent entries page is mostly for other folks. This would be quite helpful.

Perhaps if you could specify each link as visible to "All/Me/Access" as wanted?
