Yes, you're notified when your post is accepted or rejected. If you haven't gotten the email yet, it's still in the queue -- which your suggestion is. (I am perpetually behind with the suggestions queue -- I have to handle them in the order they're submitted for organizational purposes, and sometimes the top item in the queue will need a lot of research and/or a careful response, and it holds up the whole thing until I have the time to deal with it.)
