I was mainly thinking about the wank potential and what azurelunatic mentions above about people suddenly changing their settings, but also a little about the hazard of cluttering the profile page with even more info a lot of people won't know how to interpret. So all pretty nebulous reasons really but since my reasons like the suggestion isn't very strong either they balance out each other.
