Well, I wouldn't want "Grant access" checked by default, there's too much possibility for error there and impacts on user privacy. The negative consequences of leaving "subscribe" checked when you didn't mean too are only having unwelcome posts showing up on your reading circle, or am I overlooking something ?

Alternatively, having nothing checked and an error message if you leave it that way would be a good solution too.
