Remember ?style=mine when moving between entries in a journal

Title:
Remember ?style=mine when moving between entries in a journal

Area:
entries

Summary:
If I'm reading one entry in someone's journal with the ?style=mine formatting and I hit next/previous, it should retain ?style=mine.

Description:
Basically what it says in the summary. It would be nice if when going forward or backward in someone's journal, I didn't have to take the extra step of adding style=mine on each entry, but could have it remember it from one entry to the next.

Or even better, if there were a setting where I could have all pages on DW show in style=mine (or the site scheme, which is what I use) so I never had to see other people's unreadable, unnavigable styles.

Mine "with changes" is that I would like to have the same thing for ?style=light.

Also when submitting a comment or poll vote, where there's no intrinsic reason for the style to change.

While I'd love to have a setting for "always show me individual journal posts in ?style=mine" (or ?format=light), so I can use the site default, I don't want it to stay on for all DW pages; I find it disconcerting to see other people's journals in my style. (Had a plugin on LJ that did that. I wound up removing it because having to type ?style=mine was less annoying than seeing comms & journals in my style.)

I /do/ sometimes what to set that for specific journals (such as, any that are light-text-on-dark, or that use comic sans). I haven't gotten around to Suggesting it yet because I haven't run into anyone on DW with that little design sense who's set their journal style in such a way that I need to.

Setting: sticky "style=mine" and "style=light"

[personal profile] noracharles 2010-07-23 07:51 am (UTC)(link)
I would like a personal setting where I can make the style "sticky", that is, it stays on until I click it off, across all of dreamwidth.

I also agree with kanata's suggestion to make the style stick across a single user's journal. It's annoying to lose style=mine every time I comment.

There is already a bug open for this and it is currently assigned to a developer.

The previous/next navigation is a separate issue and should be fixed.
