I would love to see 'gifts' you can buy for other users, like on LJ, EXCEPT: have the little pictures represent donations to reputable charities. Take 25-50 cents or so for your trouble, then have the other 2.50, 5.00, etc. do to a charity that relates to the picture: a pencil for a charity that gets school supplies for kids, a rainbow for a gay rights organization, a cup of coffee for a non-profit that helps set up fair trade co ops . . .

I love the idea of giving little virtual gifts, but spending money on a little picture is too decadent for me. I would do it all the time if most of the money went somewhere worthwhile.
