cache not only entry text but also title/icon of interrupted posts

Title:
cache not only entry text but also title/icon of interrupted posts

Area:
entries

Summary:
When an entry has been unfinished and not posted, DW currently remembers the entry text itself and you can restore it, but the subject line does not restore, nor does the icon. It would be nice if those fields were also cached.

Description:
I realize some sort of proper draft saving option is planned anyway (which is great), but I think it would be still useful if DW remembered all fields of the entry if you restore it, not just the main text field.

It would be especially neat if it remembered the subject of your interrupted entry and the javascript popup could then ask not only "restore from saved daft?" but tell you what entry it remembers as most recent and wants to restore, before you decide to restore or not, saving the effort to delete the field again, if it wasn't what you hoped to restore after all.

I was sure I'd heard discussion about this before, but I can't find it in Bugzilla now.

Anyway, yes, saving the subject, icon and tags would be great, and telling you what the draft is would be extremely useful.

It always borders the line between amusing and irritating, for me, when – usually this was on LJ – I would be prompted to restore from saved draft, and find 30-60% of a post I had already finished and posted.

Can we have all metadata stored in the draft? (I'm not sure whether that's intentional, but you don't mention mood, security, target journal, or tags.)

I would rather have a per-journal 'draft' post, that would follow me home when I get there' It's essentially a Private post, but it would me much more useful to me than the current methodology.

This sounds like you're agreeing with my comment?
