I know this is probably something you know and not what you meant in your comment, but for other people reading the discussion, I'd like to clarify that upon locking, the entry disappears from the source feed (unless you're logged in/authenticated as someone with permission to see it), but that does nothing about the remote site keeping a copy cached.
